Hey Buddies,
Oiling is the age-old practice of hair care regimen in India. Regular oiling rejuvenates hair by improving blood circulation in the scalp and promotes hair growth. Usually, my hair tends to grow faster, but a few months ago, my hair growth turned down very low. Though my regular oil is resulting in smooth hair, it is no longer promoting growth. Then I realised that it was time for me to change the oil. When I was confused about which oil to use next, luckily I have got this Sesa hair oil in one of my subscription boxes. I was a little sceptical at first to use this, but I just thought of giving it a try.
About oil:
This oil is enriched with many natural ingredients which as per Ayurveda helps in maintaining a healthy scalp and strong hair. This oil has 18 herbs and 5 different oils. As per the company, this oil is prepared using "Ksheer pak vidhi", which means preparing oil by boiling herbs in milk. Sesa is free from harsh chemicals that damage the hair. Oil looks pale green and has a strong smell.
How I use the oil.
I always do warm oil massage to my hair. I use the double boiling method to warm up the oil. Once the oil is warm I directly apply it to my scalp and massage for a good 5 minutes using the inversion method . Since the oil is light, it spreads easily on the scalp and gets absorbed fastly. I usually keep this oil overnight, but if you can't, then try to keep at least for an hour and wash off using a mild shampoo. I used this oil twice a week.
Does this Sesa hair oil work.?
Ohh yeah.. it does!!! I see a visible difference in my hair length. I am not sure of how much it grew as I trimmed my hair twice in these 4 months, but now I see a difference of 3-4 inches easily. So without trimming it might be even more. This oil made my hair smooth. Also, hair loss during oiling & shampooing is less.
This oil claims the below.
1. Prevents bacterial and fungal infections of the scalp. I can't comment on this point as I haven't experienced any such infections. However, since the oil has Rasot (Tree Turmeric that is grown in Himalayan region) and Neem seeds which are having antibacterial and antifungal properties this oil might reduce scalp infections in long run.
2. Nourish Follicles. Yes, it does nourish the hair and reduce frizz.
3. Reduce headache and mental stress. I have noticed that massaging this oil cools down the brain and help you sleep better.
4. Prevents dandruff and lice. Using this oil alone with regular shampoo has reduced dandruff a little. However, I took little extra care and bought products that treat dandruff. If you wanna know about how I got rid of dandruff, let me know in the comments section below so that I will make a new blog post about short yet effective tips and products that I used.
Price of the Sesa oil:
The MRP of the oil is Rs. 130 for 100ml, but I see that we can get this for Rs 92 in Amazon so try to get from online. It has a shelf life of 3 years. A 100 ml bottle lasted for 4 months and still little more is left. Considering its shelf life, quantity, quality, price and its benefits for hair I find this product is affordable and good.
What I like about the oil:
1. Ayurvedic ingredients and process of preparation.
2. Promotes hair growth.
3. Deep conditions the hair
4. Makes hair smooth and reduce frizz.
5. Reduce hair fall.
6. Reduces dandruff to some extent.
7. Helps to sleep better.
8. Herbal and natural. No chemicals.
9. Non-greasy and light.
10. Easily available.
11. Affordable.
12. Long lasting.
What I didn't like about oil:
1. Strong smell.
2. Packing. It has a wide open mouth which leads to pouring more oil than required.
Do I recommend Sesa Oil? Yes, I do.
My final verdict: Include Sesa hair oil in your daily hair care regimen to get a voluminous, long, smooth and healthy hair. If you wanna grow your hair then you should definitely give this a try. I also see new hair follicles on my scalp, however, I can't give complete credit to this oil as there is a change in my diet and lifestyle recently, so I can say this oil is one of the reasons among many others for the hair regrowth.
The results might be different from person to person, depending on the persons' health and scalp issues. This review is completely based on my personal experience and is NOT a sponsored post. All the opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.
