Lessons Learnt | Part -1

Hello Guys!!

There were many things that made a great impact on my life. In this "Lessons Learnt" series, I‘ll be listing out those aspects which helped me in becoming a person I am now.

Getting straight to the point, the list goes like this…

1.    Me time is important: No matter how busy a person is, having “me time” is a MUST!! I learned that taking time for myself out of my busy work schedule keeps me energized by boosting my li'l brain. It balances my work, social and personal life.  I make sure that I take out at least an hour or twice every day for myself to do the things which I like doing.. If you can’t take an hour for yourself daily, make sure you take a days’ off from your busy work schedule at least once in ten days to just enjoy being yourself. Make sure you leave all your work stress during this time.

People ask me about the things I do in my Me time… Well !! I aimlessly surf the net and read the articles which caught my attention or I watch an episode of Mahadev serial (I am not a serial Junkie, but a fan of Mahadev :D ), I’ll go on trips, I read books and the list go on.. It all depends on my mood :)

2.    We're all guests on Earth: Shakespeare in his "As You Like It" said, "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances". This is True, we arrive on the earth as its guest, play different roles and exit taking nothing. People leave without saying Good Bye!!  So DO NOT hold your feeling towards others. Express your gratitude or love whenever it is possible.. Do not think that, you can express after achieving something big.

I used to feel like, I can express my gratitude when I achieve something big in my career so that they feel proud of me. I used to hide my feelings safe in my heart, one sad day when that special person left us forever and ever, I realized what a fool I've been!!! Now, all that gratitude is locked forever in my heart and I express it in front of his photo.. Loss of this special person made me understand that everything we earn here or the people in our lives are temporary. Just like how guests come and go to our home, we too are guests to this earth. So guys, don't hold back, BE EXPRESSIVE!!!

3.    No one is Perfect: No matter how great a person is or how successful people are or to which grade people belong to, we’re (they’re) still humans and we do make mistakes. Nobody is perfect and no one can be perfect all the time.. So do not expect people to be perfect or do not expect you to be a perfectionist all the time. I started accepting and loving myself with all the flaws I have. Likewise, I accept people as they are.. I started concentrating more on peoples' positive face rather than their negative face. This helped me in making peace with myself and people around.

4.    Believe in yourself: If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will. Don’t let your fears or insecurities stop you from doing the things which you are capable of. Having self-belief makes wonders, it changes your life. If you don't believe in yourself, you cannot believe/trust others and others won’t believe you. It’s just like a chain.. The more you believe yourself the more you enjoy the company of others. 

5.    Our attitude towards life will determine life’s attitude towards us: If we have a positive approach towards life, it will give us positive results. Whenever I start my day with positive vibes, it always ended on a positive note. Whenever I felt that life is unfair towards me, indeed it was really unfair and made me feel low all day long and gave me negative results. Our life depends on our thoughts, we become what we think. Positive attitude yield positive life and negative attitude yield negative life.
